Dr. Jennifer Cain is a Clinical Psychologist specializing in the treatment of trauma, parenting and children, and psychological evaluation. She views each person as unique and understands that each person’s experience of pain or trauma is specific to them. She seeks to meet each person where they are with understanding, empathy, compassion, and attunement. Her goal is that every person who comes to her feels seen, heard, understood, respected, and supported as they recover from whatever is causing them pain.
Dr. Cain integrates a number of treatment methods and techniques to match the needs of each individual person she treats. She incorporates narrative therapy, somatic techniques, EMDR, guided imagery, systematic desensitization, cognitive strategies, and other techniques. Treatment is flexible and sensitive to each person’s needs.
Dr. Cain is licensed to practice psychology in Ohio and New York State, and is a registered tele-health psychologist in Florida. She is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress and is a member of the American Academy of Clinical Psychology. She sees her patients through secure video.
