Accepting New Clients

Client Ages: Children (11+), Adolescents, Adults, & Seniors
Formats: Individuals, Couples, & Families
Jodi is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervisory Designation who brings decades of experience supporting individuals across the lifespan, from adolescence through later adulthood. She has worked with individuals who are often hardest to serve, including those who are marginalized, underserved, unhoused, and living with serious and persistent mental illness and co-occurring conditions. Much of her clinical work centers on individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including complex and generational trauma.
Known for her ability to build strong therapeutic rapport, Jodi creates a space that feels authentic, grounded, and emotionally safe. Even individuals who are initially hesitant or resistant to therapy often find themselves feeling understood, respected, and engaged in the process. She approaches therapy as a collaborative journey, meeting clients where they are and honoring their lived experiences without judgment or pathologizing the human condition.
Jodi earned her Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Bowling Green State University and her Master of Social Work from the University of Toledo. She was independently licensed in 2011 and has been working with individuals and communities since 1998, bringing both depth and perspective to her clinical practice.
Her therapeutic approach is rooted in humanistic and relational foundations, drawing influence from Carl Rogers and Virginia Satir. She integrates evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Care, while remaining flexible and responsive to each client’s unique needs. Central to her work is helping individuals develop awareness of their internal dialogue, cultivate self-compassion, and find meaning and purpose through life’s challenges.
Jodi believes that suffering is a shared human experience and that healing begins when individuals learn to sit with their emotions, understand them, and use them as a source of growth. Through a supportive and reflective therapeutic process, she helps clients strengthen resilience, shift unhelpful patterns, and move toward a more grounded, intentional, and empowered way of living.
Jodi receives supervision from Dr. Jordan Allison (OH license #P.7469). For more information about what supervision is and the purpose of it and your provider’s supervisors, please refer to our supervision page.
