Amy’s goal is to walk alongside you as you discover who you are, work through emotional challenges and find peace. Amy has an empathetic and trauma focused approach and is competent in person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy and Alderian therapy. Amy has additional training in trauma work, including EMDR which she is beginning to incorporate into her practice. Amy values clients’ individual experiences including how cultural diversity influences their experience.

Amy graduated from Ohio University in the 1990’s with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a minor in Business Administration. Amy worked in the health insurance and human resources industries within large academic and retail environments while maintaining a footing in the mental health world through various community volunteer activities. During the pandemic, Amy decided to get back to her roots and completed a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Wright State University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Amy has experience in community mental health and private practice.
